Executive Producer / VR & Series Creator / Director / Writer / Speaker at Conferences & Colleges Brandon (Brandi-Ann) Milbradt applies strategic thinking to creative projects, is an Executive Producer/Writer/Director/Strategist who works on all aspects of content creation, as producer, creative director, director, across multiple platforms including video, television, film and virtual reality. A lover of all things science-fiction, she serves as exec producer alongside Darren Aronofsky for a series based on Margaret Atwood's bestselling trilogy Maddaddam. Milbradt recently sold an episodic virtual reality series titled Pinkbox-a cyberpunk, psycho-sexual thriller set in a futuristic bordello. In 2015 she was hired by Refinery29 to develop a film/tv arm to the company. Following the success of the launch at the New York Upfronts, she was brought on to executive produce a series of films for Glamour's Women of the Year Awards, building an "army of women directors" for eight films about each of the year's honorees. The following year she created original films for honorees such as Bono, Gwen Stefani, Black Lives Matter, Mrs. Prada, and Ashley Graham. In addition, Milbradt is developing a series of projects based on French feminist author Anais Nin's short stories; producing a docu-series for VICE; and is speaking at industry events and colleges about her in-depth approach to the new art of virtual-reality storytelling. Milbradt began her career in 2001 with films and music videos. In 2002, her film, "Hatley High," won Best Director and Screenplay at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival. IFC's first scripted series, "The Festival" quickly followed. The series achieved both critical and ratings success and was renewed as a spin-off, "The Business," for subsequent seasons. Milbradt is a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children and volunteers for the Bronx and Queens' Family Courts.
