Born in Fontana, California in 1976, Erick has studied film for the better part of 14 years. He made his first short film, an 8mm stop motion animation, when he was just 9 years old. Erick acquired a video camera soon after that and continued to make movies with his best friend, Dennis Johnston. Moving to Arizona at age 18 and attending the film program at Scottsdale Community College opened another door for Erick. It was there that he began acting in independent productions at the urging of fellow students. He had leading roles in MINDFUL ROMANCE and THE CEILING FAN. He also acted in two other films by Nathan Blackwell, ONE AGAINST ANOTHER and WITHOUT ALLIES. At the Southwest Film Festival this past spring, Erick won 1st place with JOHN LOWENSTEIN'S JERNAL a film he wrote, directed and edited. Erick plans to eventually return to California to pursue a writing/directing career in feature films.
