Born and bred in Adelaide, South Australia, Michael Wilkop started his acting career at the age of 6 after being cast in his first television commercial for the Western Australian Department of Health. From here he was further cast in television commercials and voice overs around Australia for corporations such as Woolworths, The Advertiser, Hino and Carline Automotive. This led to his debut movie starring as the voice of Sid in the Australian classic, Napoleon, directed by Mario Andreacchio. Apart from being a star on the camera and radio, he took to the stage at the age of 13 starring in numerous lead roles for the Adelaide Gang Show. He developed further experience on the stage with roles such as the Mad Hatter in Alice and Wonderland and Harry Wormwood in Matilda. Not only a trained Actor and graduate of South Australia's leading actor's agency, Actors Ink, Wilkop is also a professional magician of 14 years appearing on television shows such as Channel 7's hit reality TV show First Dates and Australian breakfast television program Sunrise. He is also a veteran performer with sell out shows 4 years running at the Adelaide Fringe. You may recognise Wilkop's voice on many of the adverts and imaging broadcast on South Australia's leading youth community radio station Fresh FM 92.7. He is also in the midst of working on the Kessel Run Productions feature film Psychosis. When Wilkop isn't entertaining, you will find him giving back to the community through fundraising for his favourite charities, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, gardening and refining his circus skills including juggling and fire breathing. In the process, he is determined to take his talents internationally to work alongside some of the greats in his field.
