Anica Celeste Brown (Wilson) was born on July 8, 1980 in Provo, Utah. She is of mixed European and Central American ancestry. Her father, Timothy Wilson is an American musician and videographer. Both her parents are from Hayward, California. Her paternal grandparents were notable singers and performers. Blaine and Ruth Wilson toured throughout The Bay Area in California in the 60's and 70's. Anica is a second cousin to Donny and Marie Osmond. Brown began acting during childhood, after her mother started taking her to acting classes and allowing her to go to auditions. She found her love of theater and performance blossomed while in Branson, Missouri where she attended The Branson Performing Arts Academy. Her stage debut was as a singer in Alice and Wonderland, at the age of 14. When Brown's parents divorced, her mother moved the children back to Utah where she and her younger brother began auditioning for television commercials. Brown also began modeling, booking runway and print work. Brown was cast in her first feature film role as Delana Cloud in The Creator's Game (1999) where she played the daughter of Al Harrington's character, alongside actor Dakota House. Her performance as a Native American teenager required that she learn to play lacrosse, capitalizing on one of Brown's own personal interests, sports training. After minor roles in Cowboys and Angels (2000) and Primary Suspect (2000), Brown moved from Utah to Hawaii and continued to act while pursuing a career in sports massage. She was a featured player in episodes of Baywatch Hawaii (2001) and Hawaii Five-0 (2011). She did extra work on Punch Drunk Love (2002) and Blue Crush (2002). She also traveled to Los Angeles, where she worked as a massage therapist on the set of Men and Black II. Her next role would come in Hawaii as Scylencia, The Renegade Angel, a supernatural warrior in the film Jackie Claxton, Battles From Beyond (2013). Scylencia The Renegade Angel, became a popular character that Brown would continue to portray in several web-based spin-off episodes. In 2015, Brown relocated to Melbourne, Australia where she was cast as Mr. Taylor's New Partner in the Australian television mini-series, Barracuda (2016) which won an Equity Ensemble Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Television Mini-series in 2017. In Australia, Brown also played the role of Trix Baxter, daughter of Jane Badler's character in the Nathan Hill film, Colour Blind (2019). Brown met actor Rick Taylor while working as a teenager on the set of The Creator's Game in 1998. They married a few years later on Valentine's day of 2002 when she was 21. However, not long afterward, the couple announced their separation and subsequently divorced. In 2005 Brown married voice over artist, David Sidney Washington Jr. with whom she has a daughter, Atira Washington, (born 2006). Brown lived with Washington until moving to Hawaii in 2009 and filing for a divorce in 2012. While living in Hawaii, Brown met and married Australian, Troy Brown in December of 2014. Six years later, the couple divorced in 2022 with Brown returning to work in The United States.
