Jim was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to parents whose zest for life allowed him to expand his talents in both athletics and visual arts. Jim's dad (Ken Williamson, 1921-1999) was an aeronautical engineer who worked on the space program i.e. Appollo and Saturn projects and was an all-round athlete and artist. Jim's mom Dorothy, (whose father played for the St. Louis Cardinals) was the outgoing influence in the family and was also an athlete but chose to raise 4 kids and run the household. She still resides in St. Louis. Jim graduated from the University Of New Orleans and has a B.A.in Drama and Communications. After graduation he headed west for L.A. to pursue a career in Television and Film. Jim had success early in TV commercials and modeling ads for magazines. Some of his credits include: Volkswagon, Cheverolet, Cain's Coffee, Cycle Magazine, GQ Magazine, and Muscle Magazine. Jim has also landed parts in "In the Heat of the Night", Uncle Tom's Cabin" (for Showtime), and Zandelee. Jim went on from acting to start his own Film/Video production company and produced over 1000 Educational Film/Videos which brought him numerous awards including "Producer of the Year" in education from Video Systems Magazine in 1996. Jim recently sold his company and now splits his time between his two homes in New Orleans and Santa Fe.
