Stephanie (Wooley) Angelini (Wilson), CFRE began hanging around sets when she was 12 and Martin Ritt let her sit next to him in the swamp during the filming of Sounder. She spent the next six years stowing away in the back of her father's car, picking up colorful language on grip trucks and learning where they hide the candy on prop trucks. The house in which she grew up was filled with characters from stage, screen and tavern. Her father was production designer, Peter Wooley, a colorful character in his own right. At 18 she was hired as a production assistant on the Katherine Hepburn film, Olly Olly Oxen Free, as the stunt double for the sheep dog flying in a Hot Air Balloon. She received an excellent education at Sonoma State University, studying film theory with Peter Scarlet and working every spare minute on productions. Major Feature Films took her to Montana, Kansas, Florida and other rather elegant locations, but her call to breed stopped all that. After squeaking out two amazing children, she is back in the saddle, working whenever she can. During the breeding years she produced award-winning equity theatre for the Olympic Arts Festival and her own companies, The Encino Playhouse and Gold Coast Plays. Her original works have been presented at the TaperLab, Covent Garden in London, and many other venues including the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. She created Arts Ed at The Granada as the Director of Education for the Santa Barbara Center for the Performing Arts and was Director of Development for the Arts at California Lutheran University. She recently worked as the Capital Campaign Coordinator for the Ventura County Community Foundation's Nonprofit Center, and Deputy Director for the New West Symphony. She has served as the Chair of the California Alliance for Arts Education (a non-profit organization that lobbies to provide education in all the arts for every child), The Ventura County Arts Council, The Social Justice Fund for Ventura County and the City of Thousand Oaks Arts Commission. She also served on the Board of Governors for the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza and the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley. By day she is the Managing Director of Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, a professional Equity Theatre Company in Topanga. By night she serves on the Cultural Affairs Commission for the City of Simi Valley and on the Board of Directors for Association of Fundraising Professionals. When she is not running Gold Coast Theatre Conservatory and teaching theatre to all kinds of young people, including those with autism, Stephanie can often be seen having tea with bears.
