Gordon Yang was born in Hong Kong, and spent his early childhood in Belgium. Later raised in Toronto, Canada he then spent his high school years in Los Angeles. Returning to Canada he continued his studies in Architecture School then changed his pursuits and entered Film School at York University in Toronto. Now a veteran in the film and television industry, Yang has worked on numerous film and television projects throughout Canada, the Czech Republic, Austria and Africa. For the last twenty years he has engaged in many aspects of production from assistant directing, production management to second unit directing and producing. Over this period Yang has worked with most of the major television networks and motion picture studios in the US and Canada on projects such as: "To Die For", directed by Gus Van Sant; "This is My Life", directed by Nora Ephron; "Mr. and Mrs. Bridge", directed by James Ivory and "Where The Heart Is", directed by John Boorman. In 2002 he won the Director's Guild of Canada Outstanding Achievement Award for the Disney film, "The Famous Jett Jackson". He won again in 2005 for the feature film, "St. Ralph". In 2003 as the Production Supervisor and 2nd Unit Director for the CBS mini series, "Hitler Raise of Evil", the project was nominated for 7 Emmy Awards. In the last six years as a Producer, Gordon Yang has made such films as Dear Mr. Gacy, Screamers 2, Kaw, Earthstorm, and Saint Ralph.
