Before making the leap to the big screen, Jelle de Jonge directed many comedy shows on Dutch TV. His first feature film, the comedy Bon Bini Holland (2015), became a huge box office hit and won the Golden Calf Audience Award at the Netherlands Film Festival 2016. His second feature, Love Over Distance (2017), starring Katja Herbers (Westworld (2016) S2) and Maarten Heijmans, received critical acclaim.
