Charles Spano

Writer and producer Charles Spano is a Fellow of the Sundance Screenwriters Lab and an Alumni of the IFP Independent Filmmaker Lab. He creates shows and writes movies with his filmmaking and life partner, writer/director Claire Carré. Their first narrative feature, Embers, made through their company Chaotic Good, was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. They have since created television series for AMC and Apple TV+. He likes characters who "step out of line," and his writing focuses on themes of communication and miscommunication, humans against nature, and humans against human nature.
