Zac Adams was born in Baton Rouge, LA, and grew up in Franklin, TN, a suburb of Nashville. After graduating from Watkins Film School in Nashville, TN, Adams wrote, produced, and directed 5 short films. Each of these films played at several film festivals, and two screened on PBS stations across the country. Adams is also an award-winning screenwriter, and three of his screenplays have placed in the finals of nine national screenplay competitions. Adams' PBS Mini-Series, "Southern Haunts" is a program that delves into the myths and mysteries behind some of the most fascinating ghost stories of the south. It has won 6 International Awards, been viewed by millions on PBS, and is narrated by national TV and radio personality, Charlie Chase, from "Crook and Chase" fame. He has also written, produced, and directed music videos, feature films, TV Pilots, and marketing videos. His work has been seen on PBS, VH-1, MTV, GAC, CMT Pure, and CMT. Adams is currently developing several new TV shows, documentaries, and feature films. His film, "Nashville Rises," a documentary about the devastating 2010 Nashville flood, was nominated for a 2012 Emmy. It is narrated by Academy Award winner Billy Bob Thornton. Adams recently directed two music videos for Billy Bob Thornton's band, "The Boxmasters." Adams is currently at work on several new inspiring documentaries. "Hunger In America" is an Emmy-winning, and powerful film examining the secret hunger crisis happening in America's own back yard. The film is narrated by "Desperate Housewives" star, James Denton. It was released nationally in 2015, and can currently be viewed on Amazon Prime. "Autism In America" is an Emmy nominated film focusing on autism acceptance and awareness. It's narrated by "Grey's Anatomy" star, Chandra Wilson and was released nationally in 2016. It can currently be viewed on Amazon Prime. "Iron Will": A powerful feature length documentary about Veterans dealing with PTSD. The film is narrated by Academy Award Winner, Billy Bob Thornton. Adams wrote and produced the film. It won the prestigious audience award at the 2016 "Twin Cities Film Festival" and will be released nationally in the fall of 2017. "Hear Me Now": A multiple award winning documentary about school bullying currently streaming on Amazon Prime. Adams produced. "Balancing the Scales": A feature documentary that sheds light on the challenges facing female attorneys. This film will be screening nationally on PBS starting summer 2017. Adams produced. In addition, Adams recently produced, and co-directed the short psychological horror film, "Sweet Tooth." He's currently developing it into a feature film.
