Engeli's professional birth began in Milan, Italy, where in 1980 he started working for the first independent Italian center for television production. There he had the honor of working with the first Betacam destined to the Italian market. He created and directed the first TV fashion show for TeleMontecarlo, an private Italian network. Engeli works as a director for fashion shows of Italy's top designers, Armani, Versace, Missoni, Ferre... He directs sport shows, music videos and works for different types of programs. He travels a lot, and his love for travel allows him to specialize in travel videos. In 1994 he moved to Los Angeles to "Follow his dreams" and start working with different European television stations. He is an award winning Videographer/Director/Editor and more with extensive experience. He has the ability to tell a story visually incorporating all forms of media and styles. He can cut footage like a surgeon or shoot pictures like a sniper, and create stories that challenge people to think. His greatest communication tools are a keyboard and/or a camera, his editing is "bleeding edge", and he realize that when it comes to telling a story visually, less is more. He know how to make Final Cut Pro and/or his camera sing and dance, as "The Boss" does with his guitar, and easily embrace new Production Technologies. He give every job his all and treat every single commitment as he did his Mercedes corporate video, which was very well received by the execs at the company and looks beautiful. Working with people is a pleasure for him. He is fortunate to speak four languages and have a peaceful rock and roll attitude and an environmental awareness that agrees with most people's politics. He truly like being social and working long hours. This is where his energy, passion and commitment lie. His body of work ranges from Entertainment News, travel shows, films, documentaries, music documentaries, News and corporate videos for many companies. Since he started his adventure many years ago in television, He have always covered different roles and have always welcomed new challenges. He has a strong desire to discover and learn new technologies and concepts. In 2010, he was asked by the production company he was working for in NY to organize the first production, filmed and edited entirely in HD for RAI1 the Italian National TV, a 2 hour Travel TV show filmed in Turkey. Every evening he downloaded the footage from 3 cameras and re-compressed it in Apple ProRes-422. And sometimes he even did this on the road between different cities. He is proficient with Multicam editing as well as Color. And He just finished shooting, editing and coloring a 96 minutes film/documentary "Welcome to Detroit" for RAI-Cinema Italy. Prior to that, between 2001 and 2008 he shot, edited, and directed 250 episodes of a weekly TV show, Hollywood Live, which airs on Canal Plus, a French Cable Network. He spent 23 days in Haiti to cover the 2010 Earthquake and made a 30 minutes TV special for RAI TV. And throughout his career he have worked in the US and internationally. He has been a Mac user since '93 and a Final Cut Pro user since '99 and can solve almost any technical problem. He is a pioneer at using the FTP system. And in 2003, through research and tests, he taught himself how to compress video and send them to various TV stations in Europe and Tahiti, through FTP. He is American and Swiss fluent in English, Italian, French and Spanish.
