Shenita (King) Moore was born just outside of Miami, Fl. Being the daughter of a United States Air Force Sergeant, she was raised in various cities. With having this diverse experience already by age 12, her family finally settled in a quiet suburb of Albuquerque, NM. It is in Albuquerque that Shenita began her acting career. She worked in stage productions, including Bye Bye Birdie, A Christmas Carol, and Romeo & Juliet until her departure to New York and the prestigious New York University Tisch School of the Arts. After a return to the Southwest, to continue working towards a degree in Theatre from the University of New Mexico, it was time that Shenita make her journey to California in 1997. Upon her arrival in the city of angels, she submersed herself in the local theater scene and acted in student, independent and short films. It was her work in the 1999 BabyCal commercial that gave Shenita's acting talent to a larger audience. While being a 30 second spot, the performance was demanding, very touching, and came with an immediate response. It proved to be the California Prenatal Program's most effective outreach. The spot rolled into radio where Shenita's voice-over talents were discovered, and the campaign aired for over three years. In her almost two decade career Shenita has been on the small screen in a coveted recurring role on the ABC hit drama Grey's Anatomy (2005) and has had co-starring roles on shows like American Crime (2015), Rizzoli & Isles (2010), Strong Medicine (2000), In Plain Sight (2008) and Dads (2013). On the big screen in films like Otis (2008), Friendship! (2010) and Goats (2012). Animated in the short film The Depression of Detective Downs 2: On Depression's Edge (2011). And, online in the hilarious Funny or Die (go90) internet comedy series Tales of Titans (2017). As much of her previous work continues to air in syndication and across radio waves, Shenita feels blessed to continuously work in the entertainment industry. In years past, Shenita has used her influence to raise funds for various local non-profits. In 2017 she saw the launch of her own Los Angeles non-profit called Children's Clothing Giveaway, Inc, which hosts free bi-annual clothing events for children and their families. CCG is a partnership effort with her husband Todd Moore, and is described as "the link between those who want to give and those who need to receive." With her solid commitment and love for this profession, it is easy to see that Shenita Moore is poised for a long and very successful career as an actress, producer, and philanthropist.
