Andrea Vecchiato

Italian director and photographer Andrea Vecchiato graduated from NYU Film School in 1996, and his senior thesis project, "Lizard Lovers", was awarded best Experimental Film, Best Cinematography and Best Soundtrack at the NY First Run Film Festival. In 1997 he moved to London, where he founded Hadaly Pictures in 1999. Besides winning Best Film with his first feature Luminal (2004), at the Rome International Film Festival in 2004, that film also won Best Photography and the Jury's Honorable Mention at the Los Angeles High Definition Film Festival, and the Jury's Honorable Mention at the Thessaloniki Independent Film Festival, all in that same year. In addition Andrea contributed to one of the episodes of Welcome to São Paulo (2004), a documentary about the Brazilian city, seen through the lenses of 13 different directors, and he writes a monthly journal titled "In The Mood For Film", for fashion magazine "PIG".
