Samm Haillay founded Third in 2001, dedicated to the creation of visionary artistic works in cinematic and gallery contexts. Working across narrative and documentary, he has produced eight features, including Better Things directed by Duane Hopkins, Light Years by Esther May Campbell, Self Made by Gillian Wearing and Island of the Hungry Ghosts by Gabrielle Brady. His films have premiered at Cannes, Venice, Sundance, Tribeca, Toronto and London Film Festivals, and in 2013 Third was awarded a BFI Vision Award. In addition, his over shorts have collected over 45 prizes including Berlin, Venice, Edinburgh and Chicago. Samm is a member of BAFTA, EAVE and ACE and delivers mentoring and training through EAVE, Feature Expanded, the Venice Biennale College Cinema, Film London and Creative England. In 2019 he founded Kirlian, supported by Creative England, to develop an assistive tech solution to effective development of future facing cinema.
