Biography

Pete grew up in & around Kingston, ON and studied at Queen's University - Physical Education and Theatre - before moving to Toronto to study at the renowned George Brown Theatre School. He earned his Canadian Actors Equity card in 1986 after performing in Mirandolina for Masterclass Theatre/Tarragon Theatre, and in a lead role in Mass Appeal as Mark Dolson, the rebellious young Deacon. He joined ACTRA in 1987 (and UBCP in 1991) but continued to work primarily in theatre, in lead roles in plays and musicals until the mid-90's. Favourite stage roles include Dean Rebel in Trafford Tanzi; Slim in Sam Shepard's Cowboy Mouth; and The Engineer in Miss Saigon, for various theaters across Canada. Pete moved to Vancouver BC in 1990, after a solo cycling trip from England to Egypt, and started to work in film & TV.
