Dushawn Moses is a veteran born in Brooklyn, NY who has served in the United States Air Force from 1989-1993 during Desert Storm-Desert Shield. He was born to be a vessel to many and has always looked for a way to help the men and women he comes in contact with to live a better life. As a motivational speaker, Mr. Moses has found a way to use his words to touch as many people as possible through the art of speech and entertainment. A graduate of Valencia Community College and the Nashville Film Institute (NFI), he has developed his talent for filmmaking through formal education in theater and film coupled with over twenty years of on the set experience. Dushawn made his introduction into the entertainment industry as an actor in 1993 working with the likes of Howard Stern, Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones and Courtney B. Vance (Space Cowboys), Denzel Washington and Eva Mendes (Out of Time), Tyler Perry and Loretta Devine (For Colored Girls), Brad Pitt, John Singleton, Terese Gibson and Paul Walker (Fast and Furious), Michael Jordan, Tyra Banks, Stevie Wonder and Spike Lee (Nike), Will Smith (Going to Miami) and Isaiah Washington (Wild Things 2). He has since worked with such Hollywood notables as Kerry Washington in "Scandal", Ron Perlman & Andre Royo in "Hand of God" and Mark Harmon in NCIS. Some of his production credits include the shorts, "Anything's Possible", "Blink 2018", "Military Run" and "Trust". He's the associate producer for "The Bahama Hustle" and "Consent". His productions in full development for 2018 include, "Beat-In", "PTSD", "Unexpected", "Anything's Possible", a made for television production and "Trust", a mobile phone television project. Dushawn an actor, writer, director, veteran and community leader that's using his extensive experience in the film and television industry to promote the well being of veterans suffering from P.T.S.D., among other illnesses. He brings the two worlds together and is actively demonstrating what should and will be done to help our veterans. He wrote a book called "VetLife, The Voice of the Veteran" to motivate and inspire veterans to live a better life. He also received the "Life Changers" Award in 2016 for his efforts and furthermore in 2018 started LIFESHIFT, a veteran owned 501 (c)(3), a platform for veterans to stand on, grow with and become stronger individuals.
