Jeremy Rubolino is one of the bright new lights of the orchestral music world. He has a grasp of the orchestra as an instrument, particularly for film - that is far beyond his years. And he is fast! I predict that he will become one of Hollywood's most successful film composers.-Bob Ezrin (Record Producer - Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, KISS, Jane's Addiction) Garnering glowing kudos from industry icons including renowned producer Bob Ezrin and legendary three-time Grammy Award winning arranger/composer Jimmie Haskell, Jeremy Rubolino is being heralded as one of music's brightest new talents. Having done work for the likes of Queen, Kate Bush, Eric Clapton and many others, Rubolino's consummate skills as a film composer, orchestral arranger and producer are unparalleled. A child musical prodigy, Rubolino, blessed with perfect pitch as discovered by doctors at USC at age three, performed his first piano recital a year later in front of over 1000 people. Through the years, driven to carve out a career in music, he woodshedded and diligently worked at his craft, developing his burgeoning composing, arranging and performing skills, mastering piano and guitar. In his late teens, under the tutelage of his mentor, noted film composer/arranger/orchestrator, the late Michael Kamen, Rubolino was treated to a musical education like no other. His accomplishments under Kamen's guidance included work on the feature films, Lethal Weapon 4, X-Men (where he contributed guitar work alongside Metallica's Kirk Hammet), Open Range, First Daughter and Back to Gaya. He also assisted Kamen on a composition used for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kamen was so enamored with his young protégé's stellar work that he once raved to film director Richard Donner, "Jeremy Rubolino is the best up and coming composer in L.A. I taught him everything he knows!" At 18, he caught his first big break where under the guidance of Michael Kamen, Rubolino worked on the Lethal Weapon 4 soundtrack album alongside acclaimed music luminaries like Eric Clapton, jazz bass icon, Marcus Miller and saxophone legend David Sanborn. Two years later, taken under the wing of arranging legend Jimmie Haskell, Rubolino furthered enhanced his arranging skills. His prodigious talent as a film composer was tapped for the Richard Gere/Diane Lane starring vehicle, 2002's Unfaithful. That same year, Rubolino added to his growing resume by producing Songs of Life, a solo album by Poison frontman Bret Michaels. A multi-dimensional talent, in 2005 he scored a Grammy nod for engineering Motorhead's cover of the Metallica classic, "Whiplash". A year later, he won a platinum award for arrangements of two songs featured on the 30 Seconds to Mars album, A Beautiful Lie. He's also further flexed his skills as a seasoned orchestral arranger composing a stirring string arrangement for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, Queen and also orchestrated Michael Kamen's arrangements for British singing superstar, Kate Bush for her 2005 CD, Aerial. These string arrangements would stand as the last ever recorded by Kamen before his untimely death. Now in 2008, at age 28, Rubolino's vast talents as a film composer, string arranger and producer are truly coming to the fore. Currently producing a new solo album by ex-KISS guitarist, Bruce Kulick, this outstanding talent continues to break creative ground with any endeavor he pursues. Jeremy Rubolino has the last word: "I didn't become a composer, I was born one. It's a part of my being. Music is the language I speak and part of what makes it fun and interesting for me is each day presents a new challenge."
