Richard Parry started his career as a war cameraman and producer working for the renowned Frontline News Television agency. He covered Yugolslavia, Chechenya, Nagorno Karabach, Iraq, Afghanistan and many other conflicts. In 2001 he wrote and directed South West Nine: and was nominated for a BAFTA for screenwriting, (Carl Foreman Award). Alongside many documentaries and movies, he continued covering wars for more than twenty-five-years. He is the director and writer of three feature films including South West Nine, the iconic movie from 2001 about Brixton and the groundbreaking film BASE. BAFTA nominated and BIFFA winner and other awards.
