Sian Richards

Siân is a Brit born second generation mua to film makeup man Hu Richards and her Maltese mama, Carmelina. She was on her first film set aged 2 and knew she wanted to be a makeup artist by the time she was 10. At 12 Siân contacted the BBC to find out the requirements needed to get on their makeup course.. She was too young then so, after studying Fine Art, Photography, Film Makeup, Effects & Hair/Wig Dressing in London at LCF, her first job was making corpses for Granada TV's 'Prime Suspect 1'. She department headed her first movie aged 28 and has worked globally in this position, or as personal makeup artist ever since. Siân is best known for her work with Chadwick Boseman in his various roles, particularly as T'Challa in Marvel Studios Black Panther, Infinity Wars and Endgame, for her Emmy nominated makeup on Queen Latifah as Bessie Smith in HBO's Bessie and for her Critic's Choice Award winning five makeups and transformations on Halle Berry in Cloud Atlas. Passion for her craft and for artistry propelled her to create her indie beauty brand Siân Richards London. Originally stepping out as London Brush Company, Siân has expanded to create unique pro cosmetics with colours for a global skin tones. Her 'Melanin' and 'Essence' palettes have been hailed as two of the most important foundation palettes in cosmetics today. British Citizen, US Citizen, living in Los Angeles.
