A native of Wilmington, Scarlett began studying tap, jazz and ballet at the age of two. As she grew older, she began to act with local theatre groups, and started taking vocal lessons. Scarlett competed nationally in all areas, winning such titles as best over-all musical theatrical performer two years in a row, as well as winning the title of Miss New Hanover County with a song and dance performance. She was also the state winner at the International Thespian Society for her dramatic monologue. Twice a year, she would travel to New York City to study dance, drama and singing. Scarlett was accepted at The North Carolina School of the Arts where she obtained her high school diploma in drama. Upon graduation she was accepted at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts, where she received a Bachelor in Fine Arts in drama. Her studio at N.Y.U. focused heavily on all aspects on drama, movement and vocals. While living in New York City for four years, she also took many classes outside of N.Y.U. dealing with singing, dancing and acting, as well as co starred in the movie The Code. She can be seen in Port City PD with her recurring role as Lt. Roberts and in the Peepin Tom Production's martial arts/horror film, "VS".
