Cynthia Amsden has been both a unit and festival publicist since the turn of the century. Her credits include In the Vincenzo Natali's In Tall Grass, Kodachrome, the Netflix series, Spinning Out, Andrew Cividino's Sleeping Giant, Allan Zweig's' Hurt, Tasha Hubbard's multi-award-winning doc nîpawistamâsowin: We Will Stand Up, Laurie Lynd's doc, Killing Patient Zero, Alison Reid's doc The Woman Who Loves Giraffes, Killjoys, fan-favorite Lost Girl and launching Orphan Black. She worked with Sarah Polley on Stories We Tell, Take This Waltz, and Away From Her. For Copperheart Entertainment, she worked on A Christmas Horror Story, Wolves, Haunter, 388 Arletta Ave. and Vincenzo Natali's Splice. For Blue Ice Pictures, she did Indian Detective starring Russell Peters, Madiba starring Laurence Fishburne, The Book of Negroes, Cairo Time, The Bang Bang Club and Inescapable. She handled publicity on Guy Maddin's Saddest Music in the World, Brand Upon the Brain, and My Winnipeg. For producer Don Carmody, Amsden was the publicist for Goon, Silent Hill, Silent Hill Revelation 3D, and Resident Evil: Afterlife. And a thousand years ago, she wrote the press kit for Bowling for Columbine.
