Clem was a TV star in Flanders, Belgium. Clem Van Duyn (duyn), born as Clementina Josephina Verberght on 9 October 1926 in Belgium, was the only daughter of 'Frans' Franciscus Verberght and Louisa Van Den Bossche. Frans and Louisa married on the 10th of April 1918. Franciscus Verberght was a skipper and the family Verberght were and still are (all) skippers. On 6 January 1928, Clemence and her family were almost got killed by a storm over 'Zeeland' while they were on the boat Poseidon. After this matter they lived on shore in Antwerp. 4 years later, in 1932, Clem almost died of an illness the 'pleuris'. On 10 May 1940, World War II broke out in Belgium. They had to flee to La Rochelle but returned 29 June. She went back to school on the 1st of July 1940. Clem earned her degree of assistance accountant on July 2, 1942. And on 16 July that same year, she got her best degree Piano.
