Combining acting, business, tech, and mindfulness is what makes Michael Lawrence Morgan a true renaissance millennial. After a successful career as a teenage actor in Hollywood, he moved into professional gaming for Dance Dance Revolution, Battlefield & Super Smash Bros. After he moved to China at the advice of his mentor and friend Quincy Jones, Michael lived abroad while learning Mandarin Chinese, Spanish and Hebrew in over 20 countries. He also started the environmental non-profit "Citizens of the World" in Kenya and taught performing arts for young children in countries where free speech is limited including Pakistan, Syria, and Egypt. Afterwards, he returned back to the United States and built his first technology company while completing a fellowship at the Annenberg Media School at the University of Southern California. His company, NewQuill, Inc., went through a round of venture capital investment and eventually launched their interactive eVinyl music app in the iTunes store under the name eGroove. Michael took three years off after the product launch, sold his car and bought a bike in order to pursue a life of mindfulness and contemplation. From there, he married Paramount Studio employee Ansley Weller and they chose together to focus on raising a family. In that time, Michael worked as a film, music, media, advertising and digital content producer and executive in China, Nollywood, Bollywood, and Hollywood. He is now working on several projects that blend technology, education, entertainment & mindfulness with his California-based company.
