Shani Pride is driven by a passion and purpose to make an impactful contribution in the world. She's dedicated to producing film/TV content + immersive experiences + global education initiatives that provoke thought, fight injustice and affect change. Pride is founder and CEO of Foundation E, a 501(c)3 impact-driven education and entertainment company that is harnessing the power and influence of media and education to change the world. Foundation E produces film + TV + immersive experiences + global campaigns + educational programming tackling the social issues of our time - gender and racial equity/equality, climate change, poverty, education, and the homelessness/refugee crisis. Foundation E also utilizes global influence by leveraging the power of diverse A-List talent, while employing, equipping and empowering those who are disadvantaged, underserved and underrepresented. Due to the effects of Covid on the poor, Black Lives Matter, #MeToo and Time's Up, Pride was moved to find a solution, which led her to create Global Girl Impact. GGI is an innovative, high-touch, fully customized approach to empowering and equipping disadvantaged girls of color into global leaders of tomorrow. Pride has 20+ years experience in entertainment and humanitarian work, beginning as an actress on numerous film/TV sets, working with CBS, Fox, HBO, Sony, Showtime, and Warner Bros on shows like CSI: Miami, Weeds and American Horror Story. Pride has since expanded into producing and writing, and also spent several years creating programming and as a long-term mentor within successful nonprofits including Girls Inc., A Place Called Home, and The Art of Elysium. Formerly, Pride was the founder and CEO of The Hollywood Inside Edge, an entertainment company focused on educating and empowering artists globally. Pride majored in Theater at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) as well as studied Theater and International Development at UCLA.
