Russ Salzberg

A long time local sportscaster in New York City. Joined WWOR, Channel 9 in 1988 and has been with the station ever since (also appears today on their sister station WNYW, Channel 5). Co-hosted a sports talk show on WFAN Radio for several years in the late 1990s with Steve Somers that was known as "The Sweater and the Schmoozer" (referring to his tradition at the time for wearing sweaters on-air when doing the sports on the Channel 9 news). His local fame in New York has led to bit parts in several TV shows filmed in the city.
