Matt Payne is a multi-talented writer living in Los Angeles, California and has worked as a television writer for more than ten years. Matt grew up in Oklahoma City and began his career with a degree in Film and Video Studies from the University of Oklahoma. Since then, he has worked as part of writing staffs for such hits as 24 and Without A Trace. Most recently Matt wrote and produced episodes of CBS's The Defenders starring Jim Belushi and Jerry O'Connell, TNT's Memphis Beat, starring Jason Lee and most recently Vegas starring Dennis Quaid. In addition to his career as a television writer, Matt also works as a travel writer for the Communities Digital News. His travels have taken him to all corners of the world, beginning at the South terminus of the Appalachian Trail in Georgia and has since taken him to Vancouver, Malaysia, Haiti, The Republic of the Philippines, London, Fiji, New York, Las Vegas, Rwanda, Iceland and Colorado to name just a few. His stories have ranged in topic from his emotional journey retracing his grandfather's World War II steps through The Philippines to golfing all around the state of Colorado. Scuba diving to participating in the building of fresh water wells in small Haitian villages. Attempting to learn about Islam in an agrarian village to covering the ongoings of The Olympic Village during the 2010 Winter Olympics. Matt is an interactive travel writer with an ability to mold adapt to any situation. Physically fit and accustom to embracing the cultures of others, Matt continues to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually as he journeys around the globe, taking readers into worlds they may not otherwise know.
