Christoph Nuehlen

Christoph H. Nuehlen was born 1975 in Germany. He studied film, literature, philosophy, art history and media law in Germany and Scotland. He graduated from university writing a doctorate thesis on the popular 1990s television series "The X-Files" and received his PhD. In 1997, he co-founded the film-magazine "Screenshot". At about the same time, he began filming. As a freelancer, he has worked for public television and production companies such as ARD, ZDF and 20th Century Fox. From 2006 till 2009 he was director of the German film-festival "FILMZ-Festival des Deutschen Kinos". In 2010 he moved to Weimar, where he managed two movie theaters. In 2019 he returned to Frankfurt a.M. to open the premium cinema "Astor Film Lounge MyZeil". He keeps working as a dramaturge and producer.
