V. Todd Lewis

Vaden Todd Lewis was the singer/guitarist/guiding force behind The Toadies, the mid-90s post-grunge band best known for the songs "Possum Kingdom" and "Tyler" as well as the Platinum-selling album, Rubberneck. Following up the 1994 record, seven years later with Hell Below/Stars Above, another solid collection that received little promotion from the band's label Interscope, the band broke up in August of the same year. Founding bassist Lisa Umbarger was the first to leave, prompting Lewis to disband the group. Umbarger pursued an art career, while guitarist Clark Vogeler enrolled in film school and drummer Mark Reznicek remained active in the Dallas/Fort Worth music scene. Lewis picked back up with a new band, the Burden Brothers, a partnership with another Dallas/Fort Worth vet Taz Bentley (ex Reverend Horton Heat drummer.)
