Elzbieta Szoka, born and raised in Poland, is a writer, director, and producer for Paradox Smoke Productions Inc and Perryloop Productions LLC. Active as an independent filmmaker since 2001 she started as co-executive producer and screenplay co-editor of two full length features. "Screen Door Jesus" (FCM Productions) was filmed on location in Austin, Texas. In 2008 she co-wrote and co-executive produced "Welcome to Academia" (MAP Productions) filmed on location in New Orleans. Both films won awards in the United States. In 2010 she founded New York based Paradox Smoke Productions and produced, wrote, and directed documentaries "Beautiful People," "Oscar," "Chester," and "That Daughter's Crazy." All the films won awards and were positively reviewed in the United States, United Kingdom, and Ireland. In 2016 she founded Austin based Perryloop Productions LLC to honor a memory of her late son, Adam Bratcher aka Perryloop, an actor, musician, and writer. The company produced a short horror/thriller "The Bureau" (2016) directed by Marshall Dungan. The film was featured at the 18th Polish Film Festival in Los Angeles.
