Like the characters in the film "Super 8," Miami-born Jon Teboe made movies as a kid with his friends. Their Super-8 films were shown in film festivals all over the world and won in over 20 film competitions, most notably the Cinemagic Short Film Search; this led to a screening of his film "The Yellow Ranger" on Nickelodeon. After its broadcast, Jon received a letter of praise from one of its viewers: Steven Spielberg. Jon Teboe studied Art Photography and Motion Picture Production at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. His student films won in national film competitions and were regional winners in the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences College Television Awards. Jon sold his second student film "Harry the Great" to A&E's "Shortstories" series. After college, he moved to Los Angeles and became a successful editor. He has edited documentaries, reality shows, talk shows, promos and more for such companies as 20th Century Fox, NBC, CBS, Nickelodeon, CNN, A&E, Discovery, History, Disney Channel, Investigation Discovery, National Geographic and My Network TV. Although most of his work has been seen on network and cable channels, a great deal of his editing is done "under the radar," on projects intended for a select audience of network executives. He has edited sizzle reels and unaired network pilots that launched TV series (Unsolved History, The John Walsh Show, The Steve Wilkos Show, On the Spot) and even a television network (My Network TV). Besides editing television shows and television industry marketing projects, Jon is producing and directing a series of documentaries on the lives of the pilots of the 354th Fighter Group in WWII, one of which is based on a recently discovered diary written by his step-uncle William R. Perkins.
