Michael Egan has been making shorts films since 1986. His short "The Gift", inspired by a Lou Reed song about a man who mails himself to his ex-girlfriend played internationally at several film festivals including Palm Springs, London, Uppsala. He made his feature film directing debut with "Love In The First Degree" which had it's world premiere screening at Worldfest, Houston 2004 winning a Gold Remi. "Love In The First Degree" has since played at several international festivals including Boston and Marco Island and had a theatrical release in Australia in 2006. He lives in the Paddington suburb of Sydney with his wife and small menagerie of animals, working as a chiropractor when not directing and is developing "Detour" a horror-comedies for his production company Ghastly Fun Films.
