Libette Garcia was born in Cleveland, Ohio but was raised in Miami, Florida of Cuban and Guatemalan heritage. She attended Center for the Media Arts High School where she studied TV and Radio Broadcasting. As a Junior, her first PSA about the AIDS epidemic aired nationally and she earned her first check from Hollywood. After graduating High School, her adventurous spirit and love for New York's Independent Cinema, led her to move to NYC where she studied Film and Acting at Hunter College of The City University of New York. She also studied acting at HB Studios, NYU with Irene Moore, and Michael Howard Studios while continuing her career behind the camera and post -production. During an extended vacation in Hawaii, she fell in love with the Islands and decided to put off returning to city life for a few years. While living on the North Shore of Oahu, she worked on a local surf program entitled Board Stories and created independent video productions for local non-profits. Although enjoying the simple beach life, her passion for acting lured her to Honolulu, where she studied with Hawaii's most notable Acting Coach Scott Rogers at Scott Rogers Studios. After a year there, she returned to the University of Hawaii to complete her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater where she studied Film & TV Acting Technique with Glenn Cannon known for his work on the original Hawaii Five-O. She also studied Shakespeare with Paul Mitri and Audition Technique with Wayne Ward. Libette's Television acting career began to blossom and became known for her role as the spicy 70's prostitute "Pickles", in the "Original Hawaii Five-0" inspired local Burger King Commercial. She followed with a co-starring role on "Off The Map" as the South American Villager for ABC. Meanwhile, she continues to take lead and supporting roles in Films as well as Theater Productions. She recently moved to Los Angeles to continue her career as an actress and storyteller. Her goal is to continue improving her acting skills by working with contemporary directors while being inspired by the greats of the past century of cinema from around the world.
