Holly Payberg-Torroija is a writer/producer and partner at June Bug Pictures. At June Bug, her mission is to develop and produce inspired, thought-provoking female driven content for film, television and digital. She is in active development on a slate of original projects including 'Free Hunter' (which has her teamed up with Jennifer Julian as well as Academy Award winning producer, Peter Heslop of 'Imitation Game', 'King's Speech'), the redemptive-revenge drama 'Diamondback' (with partners Laura Rister and Brian David Cange) slated to start production in 2021, as well as 'Table For Two', a new series she's developing with Full Frequency and the OWN network. Holly is a proud graduate of both The Second City sketch writing and Improv programs. And has a history of working in all aspects of the business from her early days on set working on high profile projects like 'Friends' and 'Analyze This', to her development days working as Director of Development for Signature Pictures, to running her own VFX house, to writing and producing indie content such as the family comedy, 'The Guardians' (Amazon Prime), and several award winning series 'The Sex Trade', GG's Java Joint' and 'Feathers and Toast'. Holly's greatest passion these days is ensuring that more and more female storytellers voices are heard. To that end, she has created a coaching program, Loving The Process, where she works closer with writers, supporting them in crafting a lifestyle/daily writing practice that works to tame the inner critic and offers a reliable, repeatable process, freeing them to do their highest, most creative work. "In my opinion, storytelling is not a luxury for humans. I believe its a need. Yes, first there is basic survival: food, water, shelter. Those take care of us physically. But storytelling is what takes care of us mentally and emotionally. It's what keeps us from going off the rails. Storytelling helps us understand our lives and connects us to others. It helps calm our spinning minds. Reminds us we are not alone. Helps us make sense of our live experiences. Reveals that others feel and experience the same things too. I genuinely believe that committing to telling your story/stories is the greatest act of love one can give one's self and others." - HPT
