Cass Henderson was born in Detroit, Michigan but moved to Montgomery, Alabama when she was young. From an early age she expressed creativity. She wrote her first novel at age 12. After obtaining a journalism degree from the University of Alabama, she decided to pursue her lifelong passion of filmmaking at Florida State University. Her thesis film, Zeke (2004), won a student Emmy award. Shortly afterward, she formed two production companies, Po Folk Productions and Double Vision Pictures. Both companies mission is to aid filmmakers make their visions come true.
