Emílio Domingos is a filmmaker and anthropologist. He directed 3 documentary feature films: "Fresh Cutz" (2016) winner of the Special Prize of the Rio Film Festival (2016) and the Best Film of the Popular Jury in III Pirenópolis Doc (2017), "Passinho Dance Off" (2013), awarded Best Film at the Prémiere Brasil Novos Rumos of Festival do Rio (2012), and "L.A.P.A." (2008), Best Film at the Camera World Festival in the Netherlands (2008) - and 9 short films. In addition to documentary production, he also has worked in the cinema as a researcher, scriptwriter and assistant director with directors like João Salles, Breno Silveira, Lula Buarque de Hollanda, and Andrucha Waddington, in the films "Mystery of Samba", "Viva São João", "Pierre Verger - messager between two worlds" and "I'm ugly but I'm in fashion". He is currently working in a script of a documentary about Gilberto Gil, and in his fourth feature film, the third of the trilogy of the body, "Favela is Fashion"(2019).
