Ron Lizardo

Ron Lizardo joined Univision network group in 1999 as a writer for A Millon, the first millionaire trivia game show for Spanish television. In 2001, Ron moved to the Telemundo Network team as one of the hosts of the teen-sensation, daily talk show CHAT, the first ever live, interactive Spanish-language talk show targeting teens and twenty-something's, discussing controversial, real-life issues broadcast in the US and all of Latin America. Throughout the deadly events of September 11 and following US military engagement in Afghanistan and Iraq, Lizardo was tapped to co-anchor Telemundo's national late night newscast "Punto Final," summarizing breaking news and world events. In 2002, Ron joined NBC/Telemundo Networks' news magazine "Sin Fronteras" as a national investigative correspondent. Ron traveled throughout the US and Latin America covering stories of human interest, politics, science, sports and entertainment. Ron received several awards and recognition for his investigative reporting. In 2001, Lizardo was part of the team recognized by the EMMY's for their tenacity in covering the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. In 2003, Ron received a Telemundo Excellence in News Award for his work covering "Mision Sadam" during the Iraqi intervention. And most recently, Ron was nominated for an EMMY Award as a Producer of the Prime Time Documentary Special "En la sombra del Narco" for the "Outstanding Investigative Reporting in Spanish" category. Most recently, Ron has been featured as a national news correspondent for Telemundo's Al Rojo Vivo and as producer for the Investigative Prime Time Specials: "Jenni Siempre Vivirá," "En La Sombra del Narco," "Siempre Selena," and "Las Mujeres del Narco" airing with high ratings for the Network. With his accumulated experience, and personal convictions, Ron has started his own production company, developing personal growth and self transformation based projects.
