David-Michael Madigan started out his career in the performing arts at the age of eleven, studying dance (jazz, tap & ballet) with Scarlett Antonia, a professional dancer from New York who studied for many years under Martha Graham. At the age of sixteen, Scarlett Antonia and David-Michael created a touring troupe of high school age singers, dancers, and actors; they named their troupe "Young Performers", touring the Colorado Springs and Denver region for two years. During this time, David-Michael was also in residence with Music Theater of the Rockies (MTR) under the direction of Hal Hundley at the Pikes Peak Center in Colorado Springs, a 2,000+ state of the art theater. At age 16 he was accepted into the Talented and Gifted (TAG) arts program, presented with a year scholarship to Vannoy Talent Academy where he studied acting, was a national model for JimmyJams surf clothing and appeared in television commercials. With an eye for the classic; whether it be traditional or modern, he is known for his esoteric aesthetic approach. With a strong respect for history, he is a historic preservationist and a member of The National Trust for Historic Preservation. In his spare time, David-Michael restores historic properties and in such, writes a column entitled "Home Restoration" for the historic district where he resides in Santa Ana, California.
