Angela Robinson was born on the historic East Side of Jacksonville, Florida and is a proud third-generation Florida A&M University alumna. Before moving to New York, she sang at supper clubs (Ponte Vedra Beach) and the USO (three tours: Far East, Middle East, and the Mediterranean). In New York, Angela studied acting at The William Esper Studio - then appeared in 4 Broadway shows (Play On!, Bells Are Ringing, Wonderful Town, and The Color Purple). She has an extensive career in Theatre (Off-Broadway, Regional, and National Tours). On Television, for eight seasons Angela played Veronica Harrington (The "Ice Queen") on OWN's first scripted drama - Tyler Perry's "The Haves and the Have Nots". For her work, Angela won the Gracie Award for "Outstanding Female Actor - One to Watch," in 2015. She married Scott Whitehurst on 14 September 1996. They have one son.
