Biography

Fleur Alys Dobbins (née Phillips) is a native Texan; born in Houston, grew up in Ft. Worth, and studied in Dallas at Southern Methodist University. She got an early start in theatre playing roles in Texas like Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird and Rudolph, (with an electric nose that lighted up and everything!) Meanwhile, she learned how to "Shuffle off to Buffalo" pirouette en pointe, and belt a Broadway tune while attending the Reeder School for classical theatre. After a full actor's childhood on stage at places in Ft. Worth like Casa Manana and Stage West she was accepted into the BFA Actor's Program at SMU and graduated with a specialization in acting. After some summer stock stints at theatres like the Granbury Opera House and The Weston Playhouse she went straight to NYC and continued her professional career.
