Ever since he portrayed an eccentric homeless man in "Wanna Be a Mobsta" (2002), Soshi's unique talent as an actor has been widely showcased in each year's film festival circuit. After experimenting mainstream roles in "This Is Not a Chair" (2002) and "MindField" (2003), he resumed accepting out-of-ordinary characters, such as a frantic trading-card stealer in "Comic Day" (2003), a mysterious adolescent in the therapeutic institution from "Gretchen" (2005) or the unforgettable 'Professor Tamagawa,' opposite Natasha Melnick in Gary Chason's "Everything or Nothing" (2005). His first studio-feature appearance was an uncredited role in "The Girl Next Door" (2004) which garnered him the membership eligibility for Screen Actors Guild.
