Geoff Barron was born Jeffrey Robert Barron in Shattuck Oklahoma and grew up in Northwestern Oklahoma. His first taste of acting came in the local community theatre production of Hello Dolly. He followed up with a high school production of The Nerd. After graduating high school in Woodward Oklahoma he attended Oklahoma City University with the intent of becoming a broadcaster, but switched majors to theatre after his freshman year. While at OCU he had the opportunity to work with Darryl Cox in his acting class. He transferred to Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he began to immerse himself in the Communication Arts/Theatre program. He appeared in several productions during his time at SWOSU winning awards for his performance in Little Foxes and Sylvia. He was also part of several Kennedy Center/ACTF productions. After graduation he briefly moved to Germany before coming back to Oklahoma where he had the opportunity to be a key grip in the production of Guns Along the Bravo. He is married to Amanda Barron and has two boys.
