Once hailed as "The Greatest Classically trained actor to ever grace the stage", Josh Shenkle started his career at the tender age of four. From the boards of San Diego's Children's theater to the stages of Broadway, Josh has appeared in numerous productions of Shakespeare, Beckett, Ibsen, Miller, Wilde and Williams, heralding the acclaim of thousands of theater critics worldwide. Described as a "True Chameleon", Mr. Shenkle is visually, emotionally, and spiritually- unrecognizable from role to role. Once stated, that "the depths of his performances should have become the benchmark by which all actors are scrutinized"- "if only they had known it was created by one single man. His "uncanny ability' to- "literally'"- "BECOME THE CHARACTER" has gone unnoticed for decades. His transition into Film and Television was marked by equally veiled success. Josh's ability to channel such acting greats- Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson, Gary Oldman, Robert Shaw, Al Pacino, and Robert Deniro have made him "a force of nature to be reckoned with." His unparalleled ability to be able to "virtually rip out his guts- emotionally" have been cherished by so few both on the screen and off. Josh's time off stage and screen are often filled with "diligence and precision" trying to "rebuild" his personality. His uncanny ability to completely empty himself of anything he is, remembers, and knows, then "allow the Character to"- "absolutely possess him" is a gift and a talent known and employed by so few of his peers. When not acting, Josh is a semi-permanent resident of the Pilgrim Psychiatric Center in Brentwood, NY.
