s a writer, director, producer and entertainer, Judi Lewinson (aka JudiLew) enjoys an adventure filled career, packed with wide-ranging projects in Canada, United States, UK, Europe and the West Indies. The diverse nature of her work coupled with an unwavering commitment to excellence serves as a testament to her love of entertaining and delivering top notch results. From in-house produced projects to collaborations and client driven opportunities, Ms. Lewinson has been fortunate enough to repeatedly make noteworthy impressions throughout Hollywood circles, political arenas, philanthropic and private sectors. A Canadian woman of Jamaican heritage, Judi Lewinson proudly embraces her ancestral country's motto "Out of Many, One People" and seeks to tell diverse and incredible stories that highlight a multi-cultural world while celebrating the universal strength of the human spirit. As a teenager, JudiLew's foray into entertaining & content creation began as an author & recording artist. She sold her first book at age 7 and started touring professionally at 17. This led her to share the stage with some of the music industry's greats including Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Aaliyah, Shaggy, Naughty by Nature, Mary J. Blige and many more. Ms. Lewinson's time in the music industry as both artist and producer adds another valuable dimension of creativity and key relationships that continue to support her current endeavors. JudiLew's career seamlessly evolved to include film, television, gaming, publishing and streaming content. Ms. Lewinson is quite proud of her work. As a teenager, her peer-led AIDS Awareness teaching film I Have A Story..., saw firsthand how her efforts to combine education with entertainment could make a difference in the community. This project also led to JudiLew being named the national youth representative at Canada's International AIDS Conference. Over the years Judi career outputs have been as eclectic as her interests. Some of Judi Lewinson's most notable works include Emmy nominated & multiple Parent's Choice Awards winning television series, Hip Hop Harry, Official Sundance Selection & Peabody Award winning documentary, Bhutto, Hollywood Black Film Festival winner, Tigerman and Fathers of the Sport; a thorough examination of the history of professional basketball and the legends who would play the game, featuring Penny Marshall (League of Their Own), Julius "Dr. J" Irving (NBA Legend) and Fly Williams (Streetball Legend). Life during the pandemic has seen Ms. Lewinson lean into her first love of combining new technology with entertainment to create multi-platformed IPs & unique original content experiences. Soon after the shelter in place orders were implemented and the Canada/US border closed Judi decided it was time to get to work. This resolve led her to co-create, executive produce and direct two streaming series (Social Media Meltdowns & C'mon Get Happy Hour). Additionally, her long-time passion for creating and producing scripted and non-scripted podcasts continues to enjoy new audiences as her production company, VANGRIOT, increases it content creation output. As technology increasingly advances in its capabilities, JudiLew is excited to continue to push the envelope on entertainment creation, engagement and distribution.
