Grant Mansfield is the Founder and Chief Executive of Plimsoll Productions. Before launching the company in September 2013 he spent 3 years in LA as CEO of Zodiak USA, where his credits include "Secret Millionaire" and "Celebrity Wife Swap". Previously, as Managing Director of RDF, based in London, his credits include "Ladette to Lady", "Oz and James' Big Wine Adventure", "Gene Simmons Rock School" and "Dickinson's Real Deal". Before that, as Director of Programmes at Granada TV, Grant was responsible for the launch of "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here" and oversaw a large slate of non-scripted and scripted shows including "Coronation Street" and "Cold Feet". He began his TV career at the BBC, first as a TV news reporter and latterly as the creator and producer of some of the UK's most popular documentary series, including "Driving School", "Vets in Practice" and "War Walks." At Plimsoll, Mansfield has created/executive produced many of the company's shows including the Emmy nominated "Hostile Planet" (for National Geographic) and most recently, "Tiny World" (for Apple TV+). Grant is a Board Member and Governor of the University of the West of England, and was recently awarded an Honorary doctorate in recognition of his "outstanding contribution to the international television industry". In 2018 he was voted the Daily Telegraph's 'Business Leader of the Year' and, in 2019 led a successful process to sell a substantial minority stake in Plimsoll to private equity Group, LDC: the deal valued his company at £86 million.
