Regan Hagar is an internationally acclaimed artist and musician who was part of Seattle's music explosion in the late Eighties and Nineties. The drummer for Andrew Wood's beloved and pioneering band, Malfunkshun, which then became Mother Love Bone and Pearl Jam upon Wood's tragic death. After Pearl Jam formed, Regan and Rock n Roll Hall of Famer Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam, formed the offshoot band, Brad with Shawn Smith and also Satchel who toured internationally opening up shows for Pearl Jam, Queens of the Stone Age, among others. As such, over the last thirty years. Regan has worked with everyone from Eddie Vedder to Chris Cornell, Critters Buggin to Neil Young, and even Seattle's visionary music glass-ceiling breaker, Susan Silver, who was an architect behind Seattle's music explosion. Regan also has a storied, decades-long career making videos from Pearl Jam's Alive, along with award-winning videographer Josh Taft, and most recently wrapped a video for James and the Cold Gun signed to Regan and Stone Gossard's label, Loosegroove Records, which has a resurrected deal with The Orchard and Sony Music. In 2023, many of Loosegroove's new bands were showcased at 2023's SxSW such as Tigercub and Brittany Davis. A true artist who wears many hats, Regan also creates artwork for filmmakers like Cameron Crowe (where he was responsible for much of the graphic design for the Pearl Jam Twenty documentary), and continues to curate artwork for Jeff Ament, set design for films like Wes Studi's upcoming "American Indian," and is even now working with the NFL and the Seahawks front office for throwback jerseys. In his spare time, Regan is a devoted father and husband who finds solace from his nonstop artistic endeavors making pottery.
