Josie Neglia Professional Latin Dancer Born from Italian parents, Josie Neglia grew up in an Italian neighborhood in Toronto, Canada. From a very young age, Josie joined dance classes in ballet and jazz. She entered York University as a dance major where she had extensive dance training in ballet and modern dance. Her four-year dance studies included daily dance classes and courses in teaching and performance skills along with her academic studies. Josie graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in dance from York University, Toronto, and entered the ballroom/Latin field as a teacher for a private studio where she trained daily and began competing with a dance partner in International Latin dance competitions. Two years later, Josie entered a local Toronto Latin club, for the first time, and fell in love with Salsa. She frequented clubs for several months and began teaching group lessons in many of the Latin venues in Toronto. Over the years, she organized many Salsa competitions and salsa events.
