Paul Marchand is a writer/director whose first screenplay was acquired by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer's paid development program, "Imagine Impact 1." He has worked as a screenwriter for comedian Chris Rock, and wrote/directed a documentary on musician Jaco Pastorius, which debuted at SXSW, streamed on Netflix & Hulu, and was produced by Metallica's Robert Trujillo. Prior to working as a narrative screenwriter, Paul was a documentary filmmaker who filled multiple rolls on each project. As an editor, Paul's credits include Martin Scorsese's "The Fifty Year Argument," Chris Rock's "Good Hair," Nick Broomfield's "Whitney: Can I Be Me," and Morgan Neville's "Chelsea Does." As a DP, Paul's credits include John Maringouin's "Big River Man," which won Best Cinematography at the Sundance Film Festival. Paul also collaborated with legendary underground filmmaker Kenneth Anger on "Missoni by Anger," and is very good at operating a rough-terrain telescoping boom-forklift.
