Bryan Lane began acting on stage at 12 in Bellaire, TX. He studied at the Alley Theatre in Houston though his high school years, and afterwords at both Trinity University and the Unversity of Houston. During this time he was in a myriad of theatrical productions including musicals, Shakespeare, Moliere, Chekov,and modern American play writes. Bryan was involved in directing and acting. He also studied ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance. He was asked to join Claude Caux's Mime troupe and Camille Hill's dance company in Houston. He graduated with a BA in Theatre and an MA in Linguistics. He spent the next year working on a Ranch in Central Texas. He then moved to Switzerland for two years to study French, and formed a street theatre troupe. Later, he lived in Portugal for two years and formed a Mime Troupe while there. Bryan surveyed and analyzed various Bantu languages throughout Central and Southwestern Africa. In 1996, he moved to the Cape Town area of South Africa where he co-founded the "Center for Inter-Cultural Communication Studies" training Africans from the entire continent in linguistics, translation, socio-linguistics, and anthropology so they could analyze and publish works concerning their own cultures and Mother-Tongue languages. While in Cape Town, Bryan found an agent, and became involved in acting in TV programs from all over Europe. Bryan moved back to Saint Louis in 2002, and became involved in the film community acting and in cinematography. In 2009, Bryan moved back to Austin and is once again acting and directing. In addition, he has formed a production company and is a SAG signatory producer. At the moment, he is producing short films and directing a TV program, "Making It Reel" under his company "Austin City Limitless" for Time Warner. Bryan is also acting in various films shot in the Austin area, and studying under Laurel Smith Vouvray. Bryan is an avid horseman and surfer. He taught therapeutic horsemanship with NARHA for two years. He knows both English (Hunter/Jumper) and Western, and continues to ride on a weekly basis. He has surfed up and down the California Coast as well as the Atalntic and Indian Oceans of South Africa. His favorite spots are still "Supertubes" and "The Point" at Jeffries Bay, South Africa.
