Max Yampolsky is an American Producer, Director, Writer, and Actor. Born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, at age four he emigrated to America, with an extended stay in Ladispoli, Italy and later Minneapolis, MN, before making New York home. Growing up in Queens, NY, he graduated The Kew-Forest High School, that credits Hank Azaria and James Grey amongst it's alumni. Yampolsky majored in Cinema & Literature at NYU and worked at a bagel shop to help his parents pay for tuition. His counting interest in acting led him to be accepted into the Meisner Training Program at William Esper Studio and later into the directing program at The Barrow Group, an award-winning theater company. His work has been recognized by Cannes Film Festival, Rome Film Festival, SXSW, Sundance, as well Clios and Webbys. Most recently, Yampolsky has worked side by side with Paul Schrader, as Story Analyst / Scenarist and Researcher, on the screenplay for the Golden Lion Nominated Card Counter with Oscar Isaac, Tiffany Hadish, Tye Sheridan, Willem Defoe, and Executive Produced by Martin Scorsese.
