Dan Seitz

Director | Creation
Date of birth : 03/20/1982
City of birth : Washington, District of Columbia, USA

Dan Seitz was born March 20th, in Washington DC. He practically grew up in movie theaters, with his father enthusiastically introducing him to many different types of film and teaching him film theory from a very early age. His parents love to recount, to this day, many embarrassing stories about Dan's behavior in various movie theaters. At the age of ten he moved with his father to southeastern Vermont and spent the next twelve years in that state. While in high school at Brattleboro Union High School, he wrote, directed, produced and edited two feature length video projects, "Shift" and "Lost Lives." He also attended the Southeastern Vermont Career Center and Center for Digital Art's co-taught Nonlinear Digital Editing program, where he learned editing and filmmaking technique from Michel Moyse and got to handle the Nagra featured in "Blow-Out." Upon graduating high school, he received a diploma and a certificate of completion for the aforementioned program. He recently graduated the University of Vermont with a B.A. in Theater, minoring in film. While at UVM, he wrote, shot, and completed "Devotion", his first breakthrough, which was shown at the Vermont International Film Festival and at the University of Alaska at Fairbanks.
